Alternative Plastics is an innovative French company, based near Paris. Our goal is to make plastic smarter. Fight for protection the planet from plastics pollution . We started in 2006 with a range of biodegradable plastics that will biodegrade in case of littering thus participating in reducing the pollution created by plastics. We work with IFREMER ant the team from TARA expedition . In 2016, we continued our activity by offering antibacterial plastics to protect human for bacterial contamination . The initial application is glove ,our product is ISO certified . That product is recently certified anti COVID 2019. One of the issue for the future is the food and the ability to have a sustainable production of food for 8 billions of people in 2050. We invented an anti-waste bag to protect the food that bag have a special structure that will capture the ethylene allowing fruit & vegetables to be stored up to 8 times longer. The product has been awarded by customers and is sold in supermarket since the beginning of this year. We are proud to scientifically prove by an external lab that our bag is protecting the food and by the same, protect our future in reducing the food waste .This is another major step to be more responsible for saving the ressource of our planet. By this latest innovation we really thing we are in line with Solar Impulse Foundation objective make innovation that have a positive impact for the planet.
