AgriProtein is a world-leading nutrient upcycling company which has commercialised black soldier fly technology to convert food waste into sustainable complete protein and oil for the animal feed industry, and organic soil conditioner.
AgriProtein are experts in the application of insect protein in animal feeds and are focused on animal welfare and research science. AgriProtein has been developing its insect-based technology since 2008, and in 2016, the world’s first industrial scale insect recycling site opened in Cape Town.

AgriProtein’s technology converts food waste from food producers, food manufacturers, supermarkets, and restaurants, otherwise destined for landfill, and recycles it into valuable products:
1. – MagMeal™ – a nutritious and sustainable insect-based protein
2. – MagOil™ –an oil extracted from the larvae, high in lauric acid
3. – Frass – a nutrient rich ingredient in the composting of MagSoil™

AgriProtein’s supports five of the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals through its positive impact on marine resources, climate change, food security, sustainability and health.
