This month of September we have experienced a positive economic recovery and our Labeled Solutions have unsurprisingly been part of this healthy economic growth! New partnerships, projects, prizes won and honorable mentions set the tone for our shift in season.

9T Labs comes third on top 100 Swiss Startups list for companies with greatest commercial potential 

The bronze at the top 100 Swiss Startups Award goes to… 9T Labs! The Zurich-based startup have invented a new way of manufacturing carbon composites for major industries – aerospace, medical, leisure – to produce high-performance parts with low material waste, high strength, low weight, and reduced costs compared to current solutions including metal milling and composites hand-layup. With their agile solution, 9T Labs transforms outdated high production volumes into energy efficient ones

Gaïago: Agreement with Corteva to develop and distribute Biofungicide Solutions 



Corteva Agriscience and Gaïago have announced a multi-year agreement to validate, develop and commercialize biofungicides for farmers worldwide. Through this agreement, Corteva Agriscience receives an exclusive, global testing license and associated optional commercial rights for a novel biofungicide technology developed by Gaïago. With its solution Nutrigeo, Gaïago intends to become a key player in the vast future market leading the agro-ecological transition, one of the main short-term challenges for agriculture.

WAS Company will take part in the construction of the most sustainable and modern stadium in Mexico



The Sustainable Yucatan Stadium will be the first stadium of its kind in Mexico, and one of the first in the world to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum Certification. WAS Company will provide sustainable material for construction, mainly material for the complete facade of the Stadium, making tiles of 1.6 x 1.6 meters for construction based on recycled plastics. Thanks to their innovative building bricks WAS company are able to recycle tons of plastic, and reduce CO2 emissions and water consumption, allowing for 60% savings in the construction industry.

HD Rain launches two new projects 


Starting September 2021, HD Rain will be able to provide high-quality meteorological observations in real time for the French Mediterranean Arc as well as the Ivory Coast. The start-up is aiming at a precision of 500m and a forecast of up to 2 hours. This will permit different actors to have access to precise, reliable and high-quality weather data, essential to increase resiliency, information and performance when facing extreme weather events.

By November 2021, the 24 fire stations of the Gard will be equipped by HD Rain expert solution. Firefighters are constantly looking for innovative tools to improve the quality of their interventions related to climatic phenomena. These two projects are the beginning of a new era in the technology behind climate and weather data.

Breeze Technologies’ air quality monitoring management recently featured in Bloomberg Green

Launched in January 2020, Bloomberg Green is a global multiplatform news brand focused on climate change, analysis and solutions. In their documentary dated 11 June 2021, Breeze Technologies was presented as one of the solutions to build the sustainable cities of tomorrow – a crucial first step in tackling the problem of air pollution in cities is to measure harmful emissions. Breeze Technologies is offering a Hardware, recently shortlisted for the 2021 Future Hamburg Award, in order to bring cities, municipalities and government the right data to effectively understand where air pollution comes from and what can be done to reduce air pollution in agglomerated areas.

Nuventura and Wasser 3.0 stand among the 15 finalists pitching at the Social Innovation Tournament  

 


Nuventura and Wasser 3.0 will participate in the Pitching Competition of the 10th Edition of the Social Innovation Tournament (SIT) on the 7th October, in Lisbon. The SIT 2021 is an annual initiative led by the European Investment Bank Institute to celebrate the 15 best European Social Entrepreneurs and actors of change. Nuventura is a startup that contributes to reduce GHG emissions through the world's first primary, medium voltage (up to 36 kV), gas insulated switchgear that replaces SF6 - the strongest existing greenhouse gas - with air. Wasser 3.0 is an innovative solution for clean water, having developed a modularly adaptable process for removing microplastic from oceans, reaching a removal rate up to 95%.

Xstrawdinary and Enwise win at HICOOL 2021


HICOOL 2021, a Global Entrepreneurs Summit and Entrepreneurship Competition aiming to create a multi-dimensional and international entrepreneurial model to help entrepreneurs and start-ups develop in Beijing. Both Xstrawdinary and Enwise are waste treatment solutions based in China and actors in the fight against climate change through their circular economy Solutions. From agricultural and organic waste, they derive valuable resources. Xstrawdinary produces a wood alternative for various applications such as packaging, flooring, wall panel and furniture. Enwise generate energy and fertilizer turning the biogas from the waste process fermentation into clean, green energy.
