At higher altitudes the capacity and availability of wind currents increase considerably to over 90%.
X-WIND has developed a patented high X-Wind (spoken: Cross-Wind) energy system to harness increasingly stable and constant wind currents at altitudes between 200 to 500 m.
Confirmed technical report readings and measurements show that X-Wind systems triple the efficiency of conventional wind energy systems according to energy production.
Within an X-Wind system, automatically steered high altitude kites drag energy generating vehicles on a closed railsystem.
The X-Wind technology reduces dramatically the use of natural resources. For example, X-Wind power plants use less than 10% of steel and other materials compared with comparable wind turbines.
