Wateroam is a water innovation social enterprise that develops highly portable water filtration systems for communities in rural and disaster-hit regions. Wateroam’s award-winning patent, coined the ROAMfilter Plus, is designed for speed, usability and quality, providing vulnerable populations with rapid and affordable access to clean drinking water.
Distributed in a manner to promote social change, Wateroam believes in empowering local communities to be their own heroes. Clean water does not just save lives, it transforms them; therefore, Wateroam believes improved health and clean water fundamentally renews society from within, giving individuals the opportunities to rebuild their lives and break the shackles of poverty.
Wateroam has deployed water filtration solutions to several disaster relief sites and rural development locations around the world in collaboration with key humanitarian players such as the International Red Cross and Red Crescent societies (ICRC), non-governmental organisations (NGO) and disaster relief organizations (DRO).
Since 2014, Wateroam has delivered clean water to more than 88,500 people across 43 countries, including Vanuatu, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Nepal, Malaysia, and Myanmar.
