Ships have showers on board. Showering takes a lot of drinking water. That drinking water has to be made on board a ship or taken. making or taking drinking water takes a lot of energy and fuel = co2. In addition, showers produce an enormous amount of gray water that has to be taken back to the port, which costs energy, i.e. fuel, so CO2.
The Upfallshower provides a 70-90% reduction in water and energy.
If you now think that you have to shower with a small energy-saving shower, you are wrong.
There is no more luxurious, larger rain shower than that of the Upfall shower. You can shower under a heavy rain shower of no less than 35 liters of water per minute, and yet the Upfallshower only uses 2 liters of water per minute. A normal shower quickly uses 10 to 15 liters of water per minute.
How is this possible? The Upfall shower is a so-called recirculation shower. In other words, part of the water used is reused. This water is filtered, disinfected and refreshed. The system is very easy to install, simple to maintain and no filters need to be replaced. The system is a Dutch invention by René Betgem and has been sold in the Netherlands since 2013. In addition to hundreds of private individuals, the Upfallshower is used in several large projects.
In recent years, people have become very aware of the problems around our earth and have started to live more consciously. More conscious use of energy and water are two of them and that is also the explanation of the explosive demand for the Upfallshower. Less water, energy and waste water and yet a luxurious shower that one would never get with ordinary water pressure.
