About

To reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, we must redefine what value creation is. The blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies enable us to give ourselves innovative tools dedicated to decarbonisation. This is the purpose of Climate Action Blockchain, a non-profit group created in Luxembourg in August 2017. Following a local pilot scheduled in the first half of 2018, we plan to launch a blockchain-based token in the second half to reward individuals and groups taking steps to reduce their carbon footprint: this coin will become a store for actual value. Building on people's and businesses' desire to combat climate change, our platform will leverage apps, gamification, cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology and Internet of Things to open a viral and playful path towards a carbon-free economy.
