About

The Arcuate Canopy is a high strength, lightweight, very long-life composite structure which supports any PV panel systems and captures rain and snow melt for re-use, for parking lots and related areas. For clients who want to have secure and robust on-site sustainable PV power, reduced run-off and recovered water, near zero maintenance of the frame, and last for 50-75 years. Supports micro-grids and vehicle-charging. Requires a short installation period, and minimum site interruption. We used marine and aviation materials technology to develop the Canopy, to make it lightweight, but incredibly strong, durable, and designed to withstand 120mph winds acting upon four of snow. To minimize concrete we achieved one yard of concrete per column with minimal excavation. Hollow composite piles are driven or cored to limit site impact and minimize business disruption. To establish public support and increase positivity for Renewables we concentrated on aesthetic value, and responses have been uniformly positive. We sought the balance and grace of a gliding wing, and the positive reactions indicate we achieved that.
