The Skavenji project aims to massify energy microgeneration, by empowering any citizen to produce small amounts of electric power for themselves, as easily and freely as they would grow tomatoes on a balcony. Skavenji aims to boost the use of low tech, low footprint, renewable energy, and help accelerate the rise of a new recycling and upcycling ecosystem focused on distributed energy production.

Description
The SkavenjiBox will democratize energy production by opening any home, office or classroom to DIY, low tech power.

The SkavenjiBox is a tabletop box that can be installed in a home, an office space or a classroom for instance, and used to power small everyday devices, such as phone, PC, tablet, entertainment system, router, TV, lights etc. from "homemade energy" sources (a do-it-yourself wind turbine or gym machine, a secondhand solar panel, etc.), even ones built from scrap. Skavenji users will be able to monitor their energy production through a mobile app, and share ideas, blueprints, tips and support with other "Energy Makers" on the Skavenji Community Platform. Skavenji thus aims to boost the use of low tech, low footprint, renewable energy, and help accelerate the rise of a new recycling and upcycling ecosystem focused on distributed energy production.
