The start-up SEATURNS is developing since 2015 a breakthrough solution to produce freshwater or electricity from wave energy, a significant resource on a global scale. This project is managed by two partners with complementary profiles - an entrepreneur and an engineer convinced that marine renewable energy is a solution for the future.
After technical and economic feasibility studies, SEATURNS has developed and patented an innovative energy recovery solution. Tests conducted in 2017 in the École Centrale de Nantes wave basin complemented by studies in 2018 demonstrated the technical and economic relevance of the concept developed by SEATURNS. Based on these very positive conclusions, the company is engaged in a development phase focused on an ambitious R&D program (€1.9M over 2 years).
