About

Our solution aims to harness the strong hydroelectric potential of rivers in the Republic of Congo to produce reliable electricity in rural areas that lack it. The electricity thus produced by water turbine is used on site, without heavy infrastructure or a distribution network, in a community and financially viable mode of operation. It supplies a processing workshop managed 75% by women from neighboring villages, the Essential Services Unit (ESU), and designed with them to meet their most pressing needs: production of drinking water, refrigeration of agriculture or fishing, food processing, lighting, telecommunications, handicraft development...etc. Multimodal, our solution adapts to the local context to sustainably fight against food insecurity and poverty in isolated populations. After a successful pilot phase since 2021 with 3,000 people, we are starting a large-scale deployment phase, aiming to impact at least 30,000 additional people thanks to the installation of 6 new USE and professional training within 4 years.
