About

We strongly believe that it makes little sense to use virgin batteries for stationary energy storage. Battery packs that are considered end-of-life in electric vehicles still have usable capacity of over 80%, and we cannot let it go to waste. Our mission at Octave is to give a second-life to batteries from electric vehicles and repurpose them into a source of much-needed sustainable energy storage. Octave has developed a high quality battery cabinet which is easy to assemble and easy to maintain. The design of the rack which holds the battery modules makes swapping a battery module a piece of cake. Furthermore, we gather detailed and extensive data from the battery cells in operation and learn the behavior and degradation of these batteries on-the-go. This allows us to continuously improve and optimize the control of the system and offer a guaranteed performance to the customer. Octave targets SMEs and industrial sites where our battery systems are installed "behind the meter". This way, they can deliver value by storing locally produced solar energy, reducing peak consumption and contributing to the stability of the electricity grid.
