About

Concrete is the most widely used manmade material worldwide. It essentially consists of aggregates (sands, stones) and cement. The production of cement is responsible for 4% of global greenhouse gas. Neustark is developing a technology and value chain that re-captures this carbon from the atmosphere and permanently reintroduces it to the concrete after demolition at the end of its lifetime. Once our partnering concrete producers have carbonated the demolished concrete using our technology, they reuse it as a replacement material for mined primary aggregates. Our technology thus closes the carbon cycle of cement production and enables the production of truly circular concrete.
