About

Ionomr designs and manufactures breakthrough advanced materials that enable the hydrogen economy. Ionomr’s ion-exchange materials enable a step-change in efficiency and scalability of electrochemical systems, from the production of low-cost green hydrogen in electrolyzers through unlocking the lowest-Capex, highest-efficiency systems, through to use in fuel cells with enhanced lifetime, performance, and reduced precious metals, and on to the most effective and versatile systems for CO2 utilization, towards the first profit-positive capture and utilization systems, and finally to clean industrial systems for onsite chemical generation and lithium recovery. Ionomr offers the first productionized and only chemically and mechanically durable anion-exchange materials and polymer to enable the ultra low cost production of green hydrogen through AEM electrolysis, including major (>40%) reductions in at-scale Capex versus the other leading technologies, validated by multi-national companies. These materials also unlock the most cost-effective systems for CO2 utilization through electroreduction to chemical feedstocks, enabling the first end-to-end profitable capture and utilization systems. Ionomr also offers the only high-performance hydrocarbon proton-exchange membrane and polymer as an alternative to toxic perfluorinated materials (PFSAs) ubiquitous to fuel cell and PEM electrolyzer systems today, offering immediate system efficiencies, a step-change to system lifetimes and eliminating the major barrier to recycling of precious metals used in these systems, significantly reducing end-of-life costs.
