Husk Power Systems (Husk) is the leader in providing clean energy services in rural South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. It owns and operates the largest fleet of community solar minigrids in the world. Founded in 2008, the company now operates in India and Nigeria. It has more than 300 minigrids, and rooftop solar C&I business as well as an appliance sales and credit finance arm for both commercial and household appliances. The company has raised about $150 million in equity and debt from investors including STOA Infra & Energy, DFC, Engie Rassembleurs d'Energies, Swedfund, FMO, Shell Ventures and Proparco.
