We offer a consumable based iron battery that is the only clean and affordable on-demand source of energy off-grid.

We offer a consumable-based iron battery that powers basic electronic devices. The consumables (iron, paper and iron salt) are sold separately and inserted in the battery to produce enough power to light a LED and charge a phone. Once discharged, the end solution can be safely disposed on the ground. It is the only affordable and safe solution that produces on-demand power in off-grid areas. Following teacher's interest, we also offer full educational kits that allows students to learn about energy conversion and renewable energies through fun experiments.

A consumable based Iron battery

Description
We bring clean, safe and affordable on-demand energy to the poorest

We develop a cheap and nontoxic iron battery, which allows to operate small electronic devices (LED, phone charger, etc ...). The battery consists of a plastic case in which are inserted simple consumables (iron, paper and iron salt). The iron salt is mixed with water and then poured into the upper tank. The solution then falls drop by drop into the two cells of the battery, occasioning an electrochemical discharge reaction of the iron. This reaction releases electrons that are captured and used to light an LED and power a phone charger. This battery is easily rechargeable by replacing consumables (refill kits containing solid iron, paper, and iron salt to mix with water). Once the solution is unloaded, it can be safely dumped on the ground. Iron has been chosen because it is one of the cheapest and most abundant electroactive materials on Earth.

Educational kits on renewable energies

Description
We offer educational kits to help teachers illustrate their classes on energy conversion and renewable energies

Three different kits are proposed, to make students experiment the energy conversion in a fun way. The idea behind it is that if young people understand how batteries work at an early age and like working on it, they are more likely to have ideas to help a clean transition towards renewable energy. Our kits talk about: Chemical to electrical energy, using an iron battery that discharges iron consumables. Photo-voltaic power, with an advanced kit enabling students to connect cells, to test them even without sun, and to understand how it works. Electromechanical power, with a motor that can work both through a dynamo or with AA batteries.
