Green Minerals was founded in 2011 by Pol Knops, a physicist who has been doing research of CO2 storage by mineralization for 8 years. The goal was initially to capture CO2. The project became more interesting when Pol discovered that particular products with a functional application could be made.

Green Minerals is a company focussed at “Turning CO2 into Value” So not considering CO2 as a waste, a liability. But turn it into a feedstock. At this moment there are two cases 1. CO2 & Olivine The focus is towards the use of the products made by the process: – concrete (to increase packing density) – paper (to replace currently used lime) – polymer (to replace currently used functional fillers) The first prototype for 3D filament has been manufactured. 2.Asbestos destruction with CO2.
