About

GA Drilling is revolutionizing the geothermal industry by new ground-breaking technology PLASMABIT® for ultra-deep drilling. It will make geothermal energy the most economical, sustainable, and clean baseload energy source anywhere, saving 30% of global annual greenhouse gas emissions at scale. Geothermal energy is heat that comes from the sub-surface of the Earth. To produce it, wells are drilled deep into underground reservoirs. Hot water is brought to the surface for direct use of the heat (for district heating) or to generate electricity. All you need to do is to reach the correct thermal temperatures cost-efficiently, which is today the prohibitive factor. PLASMABIT® can keep drilling fast and costs linear, unlike conventional methods. The exploitation of ultra-deep geothermal energy around 10km deep will unlock unlimited power, and also be very financially attractive. PLASMABIT® is the end result of several years of R&D, supported by a team of 100+ engineers, industrial funding, private investors, 20 E.U. research grants, and strategic partnerships with the drilling industry leaders.
