About

Born in 2014, Flyzen provides information that allows travellers, airlines, and airport operators to mitigate their carbon emissions Flyzen establishes a new reference calculation based on strict international standards, easy to use for consumers, detailed for academics, and valuable for travel operators. The company has developed the most advanced carbon analytics platform on the planet for the aviation industry: the Sustainable Flight Compare (SFC). The Flyzen Engine - at the core of the SFC - provides accurate estimates of the CO2 per passenger of every flight. It is the only solution on the market that empowers consumers and corporations to make an educated choice and control their emissions for their flights at booking time. It ranks airlines by their carbon efficiency and discloses the most accurate scientific ex-ante estimates of the amount of CO2 per passenger. Winner in 2017 of the European Union’s Seal of Excellence, a quality label awarded to project proposals submitted to Horizon 2020 which succeeded a highly competitive evaluation process by independent experts. This quality label is a guarantee for investors to find high-standard project proposals from European SMEs with growth potential. The company has also developed a vertical solution for airports to calculate and control the emissions of their landing and take-off operations (LTO). The LTO carbon analytics platform allows airport operators to calculate and verify the performance of airlines’ fleets, providing the tools necessary to tackle and mitigate the airport’s highest Scope 3 source of carbon emissions, the landing and take-off cycle. Flyzen provides the tools for the aviation industry to reach a systemic shift to a more sustainable economy that works for both people and the planet. We devote to a continual improvement of our solutions and to actively contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Flyzen’s commitment is to contribute to the achievement of the 9th and 12th SDGs defined by the UN.
