About
Kapok is a regenerative organic growing tree which heals the eco-system. It provides a non-food-fruit crop filled with fibers - seeds and a husk which all have interesting values. Flocus is a trademark for kapok fibers, offering products and supplychain solutions for this forgotten fiber. Kapok fiber properties are versatile and unique in natural fibers. They can be adopted in various industries such as textiles )(sports - fashion home etc)- filters (e.g. oil), constructions - acoustics - automotive - medical etc. We believe this fiber can help to heal the planet as the properties are powerful / suitable for many commercial products. We foresee we must scale and more trees can be planted in regenerative methods where we already have planting(incl intercropping - biodiverse) models for farmers to have a income competitive o for example the wood industry. The tree can grow on hills or poor soil avoiding use of agricultural land - and can also provide a social positive impact for indigenous communities / farmer etc. We are looking for investors - collaborating concepts which can advance research - create commercial scaling models where footprint reduction + output from these trees can used to create products which heal the planet.
