About

Extracthive is a French company dedicated to the circular economy. Our business consists of producing secondary raw materials by recycling industrial waste. With more than 9 years of experience in recycling raw materials, Extracthive has developed its expertise in recycling different types of waste, ranging from metals and mining residues to wastewater and composites. Since 2016, Extracthive has been developing a recycling technology called PHYre, dedicated to the recycling of carbon fibre reinforced polymers (CFRPs). CFRP is a material that supports the energy transition, is growing rapidly but desperately needs recycling solutions. Our technology is based on a chemical process that separates the polymer from the fibre, resulting in recycled carbon fibre with a 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared with virgin carbon fibre, while retaining mechanical properties. Extracthive aims to industrialise its proprietary technology by 2027.
