Providing innovative and effective solutions to reduce volatile organic compounds émissions

Aware of the environmental concern that is the Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) emission in industrial processes, we did analyze the existing solutions, their forces and weakness. Effective solutions do exist, but because of their high overall cost (procurement, installation and maintenance), especially as retrofit or upgrading solutions, they are often not deployed for economical reasons. We decided to research and develop a solution that could help industrials reduce effectively their VOCs emissions at an affordable overall cost conciliating competitiveness and environmental responsibility. Thanks to a biomimicry approach, we have been successfully developing ERIS, that avoids to choose between environmental protection and profitability.


ERIS (Evaporation Reduction Intelligent System)

Bio-inspired floating roof to prevent volatile liquids evaporation

ERIS innovative internal floating roofs are based on independent floaters designed by elbe petro as a biomimetic of the duckweeds that covers the water ponds. System is easy and quick to install, even in used tanks. Without on-site assembly nor maintenance requirement, floaters adapt themselves to the tank geometry, as well as duckweeds adapt to the ponds geometry, for sinking the VOCs emissions. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) are of major concern for industrials of oil & gas, chemicals, cosmetics or food sectors. Losses of light hydrocarbons due to evaporation during their storage periods lead to impacts in terms of: Environment (VOCs atmospheric rejections) Economy (losses of value added products) Safety (Fire and explosion hazards because of flammable and explosive atmosphere formation)
