About

The European Biodiesel Board (EBB) is a Brussels-based non-profit organisation established in 1997. We bring together producers of biodiesel (FAME and HVO), gathering 43 members across Europe representing 75% of European biodiesel output. We represent biodiesel producers using all feedstocks: food/feed crops, waste, residues, and other innovative biogenic materials. Biodiesel is used primarily as a substitute for fossil fuels in transport and is key to decreasing EU transport emissions and dependence on imported diesel. The EBB promotes European biodiesel use and is committed to international standards for sustainability in GHG emissions and feedstock supply.
