CLEARAS Solutions created and patented a plant-based approach for wastewater treatment at the tertiary level while simultaneously producing a biomaterial feedstock. This is an innovative approach that eliminates the use of chemical wastewater treatment, mitigating excess nitrogen and production of toxic sludge. Therefore, we avoid methane emission production while feeding our algae with recycled carbon dioxide. Every pound of algae we produce needs 2.2 pounds of CO2. With the implementation of 100% renewable energy, the CLEARAS process will be completely net negative.
