About
CARTIF is an applied, horizontal research centre, founded in 1994 as a private non-profit foundation. Its mission is to offer innovative solutions to companies to improve processes, systems, and products, enhancing their competitiveness and generating new business opportunities. It carries out R\&D projects funded both by private companies and through public calls, and also collaborates with public entities on high-impact projects. It is a multidisciplinary centre working in sectors such as energy, food, industry, construction, health, and the environment, addressing challenges like Industry 4.0, energy efficiency, circular economy, and biotechnology. In addition, it has an analytical testing laboratory offering services such as 3D digitalization, biomass characterization, and materials nanotechnology.
