Thanks to 15 years of R&D, Carbon Capture Buildings Greentech has developed a new biobased construction material, a wood-based concrete (made of wood at 82% in volume, using neither gravel nor sand), and has developed its applications in patented construction principles, walls and slabs, adapted to prefabrication. All these processes, protected by 10 patents, are marketed to precasters under the "TimberRoc" technology contract. The particularity of our wood-based concrete is that it has a very negative carbon footprint, while allowing for structural construction. In addition to this unique advantage on the market, it has remarkable technical properties and responds perfectly to the current challenges of the construction world: very high inertia, excellent thermal damping, perspiration, sound absorption, fire resistance, etc. The biosourced raw material used in the formulation of our wood-based concrete is a wood aggregate that we produce from pulpwood (not usable as timber) coming exclusively from French forestry operators who are PEFC certified, i.e. managing their forests in a sustainable manner. Another key advantage for the environment is that it replaces an exhaustible resource (gravel and sand) with a renewable resource (pulpwood). The efficiency of TimberRoc technology has been validated by technical approvals allowing the construction of all types of buildings up to 11 storeys. It perfectly meets the difficult requirements of the new French law RE2020, whose objective is to fight against climate change while adapting buildings to future heat waves.
