Diesel and electric semi-trucks are expensive, infrastructure-heavy, and operationally limiting. Fleets need a cleaner, scalable drivetrain that doesn’t rely on mega chargers or hydrogen. BrixRae’s steam-electric hybrid engine modernizes the Doble steam design with closed-loop recovery, induction heating, and regenerative energy — delivering zero-emission, low-maintenance propulsion for Class 8 trucks. Our patented hybrid steam-electric system combines an induction-powered flash boiler with high-efficiency compound steam expansion, integrated with a compact battery system. It delivers the torque and range of diesel, with the near-zero emissions and regenerative benefits of electric — without the range anxiety
