BLUETENTACLES objective is the retrofit of existing irrigation system.
Nowadays almost all the irrigation systems are automatic-controlled but the irrigation scheduling is generally time based. The irrigation cycle starts also during rainy days and before/after enough rainfall. There is a huge waste of water and also energy, when the water has to be pumped. BLUETENTACLES is an advanced irrigation solution that aims to irrigate only when it is necessary, integrating exiting irrigation systems with a cloud-based artificial intelligence based on climate and soil humidity data.
