Member - BioCellection

BioCellection is developing advanced technologies to transform unrecyclable plastics into virgin-quality chemicals for sustainable supply chains. We focus on the 92% of plastic waste too contaminated and difficult to recycle. Our mission is to make our technology available worldwide; provide a circular economy that can reconcile ecology and economy, turn plastic waste into resources and make a social and environmental impact.

About

BioCellection converts contaminated, unrecyclable waste plastics into valuable chemicals for the production of materials such as nylon, polyurethane, and polyester. We have a patent-pending recycling process that uses a cheap, industrial liquid catalyst to depolymerize post-consumer plastic films into biodegradable chemicals: dibasic acids (DBA) and dibasic esters (DBE). Our solution is to prevent urban plastic waste from entering the landfills and oceans by translating our proven chemical recycling process into standardized modular skids for deployment in regions and companies with existing waste collecting and sorting infrastructure. By using plastic waste to replace petroleum for chemical production, we address two major environmental issues at the same time.
