BACKGROUND: (1) With 4% of fresh water reserves against 18% of the world's population, India is facing the challenge in the area of supplying adequate WATER to its 130 Crore Population. (2) According to Central Ground Water Board of India, 256 districts are water stressed & 312 blocks are at critical stage & nearing water stress situation. (3) The Government of India has an ambitious plan to make sure that water reaches all households by 2024 under JAL JIVAN MISSION project. (www.jaljeevanmission.gov.in) PROBLEM FACED BY INDIAN GOVERNMENT on WATER MANAGEMENT: (4) This brings the focus on how much important its for government to focus on WATER MANAGEMENT. As per NITI Aayog's report on Composite Water Management Index -2019, the biggest challenge government faces for effective Water Management is of RELIABLE & AUTHENTIC Data on Water Sourcing, Storage & Supply.(page-44). ARION SOLUTION FOR ADDRESSING THE CHALLANGE : The deliverables of solution are: (a) Capturing, Monitoring & Analysis of Data on Water from Source, Storage at Sump, GSR & ESR & Supply from Storage to users. (b) Pressure in Pipeline. (c) Electricity Units Consumption of Pumps located in Pump House. (d) We are testing the possibility of measuring the purity of water as per Bureau of Indian Standards.(BIS) ARION SOLUTION DETAILS: (1)The solution has been developed keeping in mind the usage by Urban Local Bodies of India as well as Developing Countries of the World. (2)The solution uses Micro-Controller with Industrial grade hardware, Sensors, Secured Communication protocol , Secured Cloud Server & Proprietary Software for capturing the data of water ,storing the data on water & providing the analysis on water sourced & supplied , at desired frequency of time to the decision makers in Urban Local Bodies. (3)The solution captures, monitors & analyses the data on sourcing of water, supply of water, storage of water, pressure in pipeline, Electricity units consumption at Pump House & gives pre- defined alerts. (4)The solution is wireless, runs on Battery (battery life of more than 5 to 6 years ) uses solar power & is robust & rugged to be installed at any rural location. (5)The solution consumes very less power as the machine learning algorithms learns to send the data to the secured cloud server only on pre-defined event occurrence. (6)The Solution is installed & commissioned in 4 to 5 hours flat making it a Plug & Play solution. (7)Technically, it can be operated by a person who understands simple instructions in any local language & hence no technical competency is needed.
