Our aim is to commercialize a platform for the processing of agricultural waste into high value products namely xylitol. Our EcoXyL process makes sustainable (fully renewable) xylitol and is ready to disrupt the global sweeteners market.

After 4 years and >£1M investment in research, we have developed a robust yeast based biomanufacturing solution that converts agricultural wastes like wheat straw and wood pulp into a high value 100% renewable sweetener. Our breakthrough technology combined with the ability to process agricultural wastes, positions us to disrupt the global sweeteners industry and move away from the heritage chemical processes which are costly, inefficient and involve toxic harsh conditions with less than 40 % sugar capture.
