About

AquaGreens patented combined super-heated steam dryer and pyrolysis eliminate pollutants converting wet sewage sludge into climate positive (GHG-negative) biochar and renewable energy (can be used for local or district heating). It happens using the embedded energy from the biomass itself to dry the sludge without addition of external heat. The pyrolysis further decompose drug- and pesticide- and microplastic-residues and other organic pollutants which are of concern in municipal sewage sludge. The biochar acts as carbon storage of CO2 from the atmosphere when used as a soil improver/fertilizer. It improves soils water and nutrient retention, plant yields and recycles the scarce and vital to life resource Phosphorous to the soil.
