As an expert for the innovation scene in energy and environmental technologies, CleantechAlps (Sion, Switzerland) is a hub for the cleantech ecosystem, connecting its stakeholders with relevant partners.
CleantechAlps is instrumental in green innovation and mobilises key players to create the most favourable conditions for the development and growth of companies addressing the energy transition and climate change challenges.
Launched as an initiative of the seven cantons of Western Switzerland to strengthen the competitiveness and reputation of the Swiss cleantech community, CleantechAlps has contributed to the growth of more than 800 companies and research institutions forming a cleantech hotspot in the centre of Europe.
Supported by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), CleantechAlps' main lines of action are:
- Increase networking activities in order to accelerate ecosystem integration for companies, including a specific program for qualified introductions.
- Boosting company positioning and recognition in new markets.
- Promoting globally cleantech innovation to support the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and encourage the deployment of solutions for climate change related issues (see the Swiss Cleantech Report).
