UNFCCC COP 30 in Belém

UNFCCC COP 30 in Belém

In 13 Days

At COP30 in Belém, the Solar Impulse Foundation comes with one clear mission: to prove that efficiency is the most powerful lever for climate action.

Throughout the week, we will host a series of high-level sessions across the Blue Zone, highlighting concrete solutions and financial mechanisms accelerating implementation:

  • 11 November | 09:00–10:00 | Global Renewables Hub Efficiency in Action: The Silent Driver of CompetitivenessThis high-level session co-hosted with the Energy Efficiency Movement will demonstrate how energy efficiency serves as a powerful lever for competitiveness and climate progress, highlighting real-world examples of solutions that boost performance, profitability, and emissions reduction across sectors.

  • 13 November | TBD | Buildings & Cooling Pavilion Driving Global Uptake of Established Climate Technologies and Solutions for BuildingsThis session, co-organised with UNEP’s Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction, will explore how proven technologies and practical solutions can accelerate the decarbonisation of buildings worldwide, unlocking massive energy and cost savings.

  • 14 November | 16:00–17:30 | French Pavilion Optimising Demand, Decarbonising Supply: Driving the Energy Transition ForwardThis two-part high-level session, co-organised with Schneider Electric, ENGIE, and ClimateSAN, will explore how optimising energy demand and decarbonising energy supply — supported by financial innovation and enhanced by artificial intelligence — can jointly accelerate the global energy transition by scaling efficiency, electrification, renewables, and green molecules across sectors to deliver measurable impact.

In addition to these events, we will also launch two flagship publications during COP30:

  • Energy Efficiency: The Silent Money Maker, developed with the European Commission, demonstrating the economic case of efficiency - not a technical fix, but a mindset for modern progress.

  • Catalogue of Climate Solutions for Buildings, created with UNEP’s GlobalABC, identifying ready-to-deploy technologies to decarbonise the built environment.

These activities are complemented by our recently announced collaboration with the European Investment Bank, supporting over 350,000 SMEs across Europe to invest in energy efficiency - illustrating how finance and technology can work together to scale climate impact.
