On October 14, 15 and 16, 2022, Maker Faire Lille, the festival of innovation and creativity, will take place at Gare Saint Sauveur. The Solar Impulse Foundation and its partner ADEO will be there to highlight Efficient Solutions in sustainable housing and circular economy.
This year, for its 4th edition in Lille, Maker Faire will offer a focus on sustainable housing and the circular economy with projects that give pride of place to energy savings, eco-design, the fight against noise pollution , the adaptability of housing but also zero waste, recycling, repair, upcycling or even the regeneration of neighbourhoods.
600 makers are expected there over 6,000m² of exhibition space: designers and their eco-responsible creations, whimsical inventors, virtuoso coders, dreamy engineers will share their projects. Amongst them, Circular Grab Adhesive, Dulux Easycare+ Scuff Resist Technology, Wirquin Neo Air and many other Efficient Solutions will be also showing their clean and profitable products.
Furthermore, 50 free workshops will invite visitors to make a recycled paper light fixture, a fabric door draft excluder, an insect box, an up-cycled mirror and many other things. To go further, 30' pitches will allow to deepen this or that project and to exchange with their designers. The edition also hosts events such as the second edition of the Les Hauts-de-France Réparent operation or an astonishing gathering of Tiny Houses. Three exhibitions will invite visitors to question their ways of consuming and integrating upcycling into their homes. Inclusive housing will also be discussed with, in particular, the projects rewarded by the FabLife competition.
