The ZA-600 powertrain will power an aircraft with up to 19 passengers using using fuel cells and an electric motor.
ZeroAvia's first commercial product will be the ZA-600, which can power aircraft with up to 19 passengers. The company is sourcing the fuel cell system, motor and inverter from 3rd party suppliers and integrating them into a complete system with proprietary software and controls. The hydrogen will be stored in compressed gas form in wing-mounted tanks. The powertrain is designed to be used in existing, already certified airframes like Twin Otter and Dornier 228. This significantly lowers certification timelines and increases adoption speed as it can be used in existing fleets as well as new capacity.
