About

ZeroAvia is building the world's first practical zero emission aviation powertrain, using electric propulsion powered by a hydrogen fuel cell system. After initially enabling 500-mile zero emission travel in a 10-20 seat regional aircraft by 2023, the company will scale its technology to target larger aircraft. ZeroAvia’s unique approach results in much lower direct operating costs, and will help the company eventually capture a significant share of the $300B aircraft hardware and $200B aviation fuel markets. ZeroAvia has already received an initial FAA airworthiness certificate for its 6-seat test aircraft, and has conducted a number of successful test flights. Featured in Forbes, the Verge, Electrive, ZeroAvia secured announced a $3.5M grant from the UK government to support R&D and demonstration of the 6-seat air taxi prototype in the UK.
