About
WAI Environmental Solutions offers innovative and cost-efficient solutions for metallurgical industries to meet their decarbonization goals by replacing fossil carbons with biocarbon. Our biocarbon is produced from sustainable sources, including forest residues and waste wood. WAI is working on solutions to convert the biogenic sources into high value-adding carbon materials, including biocarbon, anode material to Na-ion battery, and protein-rich aquafeed ingredient, and renewable energy. We aim to develop sustainable solutions to connect forestry/waste management to metallurgy, energy storage and aquaculture industries. We seek to create circular value chains, new industry standards, and develop methods and materials pushing boundaries to phase out the use of fossil carbons. Our culture is set around being at the forefront of state-of-the-art solutions, creating new knowledge and keeping our quality standards above the sectors’ average, in other words, challenging the status quo.
