Telofarm is a startup company specialized in monitoring plant internal states with microscale sensors on needle probes. We have recently demonstrated the sensing of sap flow speed and electrical conductivity with our micro-needle sensors implanted in the stems of plants such as tomato, bell pepper, cucumber, lettuce and even cactus. Minimally invasive and highly sensitive, our sensors are useful for many applications in precision agriculture. For instance, with our sensor-based irrigation system, we were able to reduce the drain rate of nutrient solution down to zero with better productivity and quality of fruits in advanced hydroponics. With our advanced sensor technologies, we propose applications in sustainable farming and climate change monitoring. The details will follow in our main proposal.
