Bacteriocins are natural antimicrobial peptides produced by bacteria. At Syngulon, a synthetic biology startup, we have a collection of bacteriocins, called PARAGEN, that can be used alone or in cocktail in order to avoid using antibiotics or other chemicals that are very negative for the environment.
