SPADE (System for Pipeline Aggression Detection), is a French start-up of 5 engineers and pipeline integrity specialists
About
Today,90% of cold pipelines spillage are caused by theft (source: Concawe 2018). Also, 50% of incidents on European gas pipelines are due to third party works (EGIG).
Our technology is based on the monitoring and analysis of the pipeline's cathodic protection field. It is a real-time process, where any aggression on the pipeline is automatically reported to the concerned parties, via IoT or GSM.
Our system consists of an electronic device housed in the cathodic protection unit, that can be implemented without any modification of the existing infrastrutcure or down-time for installation. It does not require any autonomous power supply.
Our R&D program is executed in coordination with the IFP EN (Institut Français du Pétrole et Energies Nouvelles). This reliable and cost-efficient system for the detection of aggressions on oil & gas pipelines, aims to enhance not only the protection of the people, but of the environment as well.
