Smart Green Shipping (SGS), is an award winning systems design-house developing technical and commercially viable wind-powered solutions for shipping that enables the rapid reduction of fuel consumption and emissions from the shipping sector.
We have an enormous opportunity – and responsibility – to green cargo shipping. Today, there are estimated to be 40,000 cargo ships that are ready to benefit from retrofitted wingsails to significantly reduce fuel consumption and GHGs. SGS needs less than 1% market penetration by 2030 to become a profitable, £130M revenue business, with a £15M net profit – and that’s before we kickstart our 100% new-build vessel business.
