Rockton’s history comes from investing in commercial aircraft leased to airlines around the globe. Rockton’s principals have assisted over 100 airlines world wide. Since 1998 Rockton has arranged, managed and executed +40 commercial aircraft investments. The company employs seven professionals with a combined aviation and investment industry experience of well over 120 years. Rockton has to date delivered an IRR of +35% on its investments in lease assets. Rockton is now turning its focus to Aviation 2.0 and will be a frontrunner developing financially rewarding Sustainable Aviation Investing. With a first-mover advantage, Rockton is exploring the opportunity to capitalize on the industry’s necessary change towards Aviation 2.0, Rockton’s widespread network, deep understanding of the industry and experienced team by launching an alternative investment fund, Rockton Sustainable Aviation Fund I (“RSAF-I”). RSAF-I will be dedicated to sustainable impact investments targeting reduction and mitigation greenhouse gases (“GHG”) emissions. By blending Rockton’s proven track record within hard asset investments rendering steady cash flows from operating leases with equity investments, RSAF-I targets an IRR of +20% RSAF-I will be a closed-end fund structure with a target fund size of EUR +100m and is planned to be launched in 2021. Two investments have already been completed, one equity investment within Electrification of Aviation and one hard asset investments within Aerial Firefighting.
