About

RECONCIL provides restaurants with a takeaway, reusable and washable packaging alternative to single-use packaging. Consumers buying takeaway food pay a deposit for an eco-designed container. After enjoying their meal, they return the container in any restaurant part of the Reconcil network to get their deposit back.
Our magic ingredient to get people excited about RECONCIL is our endeavour to bring eco-friendly options available in a big city. We want to show people that it is easy and rewarding to adopt new habits and contribute to waste reduction. Based in Paris, we expect our location in this international hub to foster replicability and influence other cities. We are happy to share our passion for environmental protection.
The recycling rate of the take-away packaging sector is nearly 0%. Indeed, polypropylene and polystyrene are not recycled in France. The deposit system drastically lowers the systematic production of waste by allowing containers to be reused. It also avoids an overconsumption of raw materials and energy. Hence our business model follows the seven pillars of the Circular Economy.
Consumer behaviour will evolve to become more responsible by using our deposit system. All together we can keep the ocean clean, the landfills empty and the air fresh.
