About

QED has established itself as a technology developer and project manager of turnkey tidal energy projects. It has developed an innovative, self-deploying, submersible, tidal platform which delivers significant operating and maintenance cost savings (60%+), as well as sought after turbine energy yield improvements (on average 48%). More recently QED acquired Tocardo Turbines to position it as an end to end solutions provider. Tocardo is a globally renown and well proven manufacturer of turbines, many of which have been in use in Holland's dams for over 9 years. QED has now secured a project pipeline which includes a funded position on the live Interreg TIGER Project (world’s largest ocean energy project). Its TIGER project, and the SPV being set up, is a direct conveyor to an initial licensed 30MW for QED and its partnerships. It is looking for strategic partners in the SPV being set up to develop its licenced, tidal energy centre in the English Channel with potential 300MW site capacity.
