NowNews Media is an independent, online commercial news platform in Ghana, built on a legacy of passion, innovation, and resilience.
The vision dates back to the late ‘80s when the Founder, as a young radio and TV mechanic, assembled a small pirate FM station—ISSAFM (88.9 FM)—using discarded electronic parts in North Kaneshie. His journey took a new path after graduating from Manifold College as a broadcast journalist, joining Ghana Broadcasting Corporation in 1992 as a producer, presenter, and DJ.
During this time, a visionary friend, Kwasi Korbor (KK), saw the potential for something greater and introduced businessman Kwasi Twum, who later brought JoyFM to life in 1995. Yet, the dream of an independent media platform never faded. After more than 30 years, that vision materialized in 2020 as NowNews.com—a news and business hub designed for global impact, proudly made in Ghana.
