Member - Lumexplore
The Association "Les Lumières de l'Exploration" has been commissioned by the Société des Explorateurs Français to organize the annual Lumexplore, Festival du Film d'Exploration Scientifique et Environnementale at the Eden Théâtre cinema in La Ciotat.
About
Lumexplore brings together all the fields in which exploration brings more knowledge and a better understanding of our world, through films, conferences, fun workshops, meetings and photo exhibitions concerning the earth sciences and the solutions gathered from all over the world to improve our environment. But what makes Lumexplore so special is that it includes young people as directors of the short films they prepare during the school year through the Lumexplore Junior Competition. They have access to the world of exploration and scientists to understand what the current issues are and the solutions underway, to give them the tools now to develop their own ideas.
For the past 8 years, Lumexplore has been held every September in the world's oldest cinema, that of the Lumière brothers, for 5 days. Numerous personalities have attended the Festival.
