LG Sonic MPC-Buoy is a chemical-free solution to monitor and control algal blooms in large water surfaces

In order to provide an environmentally friendly and chemical-free solution for algal blooms, LG Sonic developed the patented LG Sonic MPC-Buoy (monitor, predict and control) which is a floating, solar powered, platform that uses continuous water quality monitoring to control algae by using ultrasound technology. LG Sonic MPC-Buoy eliminates up to 90% of the current algae and prevents the growth of new algae without disturbing the ecosystem. By installing MPC-Buoy, a chemical-free solution for algae control can be provided, that eliminates the use of possibly harmful chemicals in the lake, which are expensive and need to be dosed frequently to provide a continuous solution. LG Sonic MPC-Buoy water quality database with data from our water quality measurements and ultrasonic parameters makes it possible to change the ultrasonic program according to the water conditions, type of algae, and type of application, thereby providing the most effective solution for each specific situation.
