Refractory mineral foams specialist
IPSIIS develops noncombustible, insulating and refractory mineral foams. IPSIIS values natural resources and recycled materials for energy efficiency and protection of both goods and people. Low CAPEX and a safe process allow dedicated local production. IPSIIS foam is adapted for high temperature insulation (industry) and for building acoustic and temperature insulation.
IPSIIS develops a light mineral foam with excellent insulation & fireproof properties, for industry and building sector.
IPSIIS patented process yields light natural mineral insulating foam with ultra low carbon footprint. The material is nonflammable and fireproof, and can be used both in the high temperature industry or in the building sector. The manufacturing plants can be implemented locally in both emerging or developed economies and valorize natural or recycled minerals (that count for 90% of the end product) thanks to a safe, scalable and frugal process. Mineral raw materials (natural, recovered or recycled) are mixed to IPSIIS adjuvants (patented food industry additives and a mineral binder) to obtain an aerated humid mineral foam, that can be applied directly on site or moulded. The drying phase at room temperature yields rigid, protective mineral foam. Further treatments lead to different IPSIIS foam grades with upgraded characteristics for the most demanding environments. IPSIIS foam has two main markets : 1) Building sector, still looking for dedicated solutions: affordable fire resistant insulation, on-site mineral foam production, upgrading of deconstruction waste. Buildings represent a third of global emissions, and a third of energy and materials consumed worldwide (UNEP). 2) Industrial high temperature insulation and fire protection. IPSIIS foam, manufactured from common mineral of high purity and refractoriness, reach a resistance up to 1400ºC and is classified as non combustible. It is a substitution to nasty Refractory Fibers (carcinogenic) in most applications.
