interpanel revolutionizes room climate solutions with its unique all-in-one ceiling system for new and existing commercial buildings. As a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics, interpanel integrates daylight-quality LED lighting, advanced acoustic absorption, infrared heating, and groundbreaking radiant cooling technology into prefabricated ceiling modules. This innovative system covers only 25–35% of the ceiling yet fulfills essential needs for light, acoustics, warmth, and cooling, making traditional air conditioning often obsolete. The core of the technology is a unique membrane that is infrared-transparent, opaque, and water vapor-resistant. It prevents condensation and allows efficient heat transfer through radiation. Founded in 2017, interpanel has received several national and international awards for innovation and sustainability and is rapidly expanding. The company guides building owners and planners from design to operation of low energy buildings.
