HYMAG'IN develops an industrial process for converting ferrous waste and co-products into functional material, magnetite. Produced in sizes smaller than a micrometer, magnetite is a material known for its ability to treat contaminated water with metals and organic micropollutants. Magnetite targets a wide range of pollutants by combining elimination by filtration and oxidative or reducing degradation. By providing a process based on waste recovery and co-products, HYMAG'IN is part of a circular economy approach and makes magnetite accessible on a large scale.
